Choo! Choo! Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church (PABC), located in Urbana, IL, is sounding the whistle for a Senior Pastor to come aboard.

PABC began its journey in 1909 as The Herald of Hope, meeting in a train car.  Throughout the years, the passengers of PABC have stayed on track by studying and teaching Scripture, serving the community, and loving one another.  At its current station, where the hope of Jesus is alive, the church leads a deaf ministry and shares its building with two international churches.

PABC is looking for a conductor not to keep it chugging along but to move full steam ahead in the Lord’s will.  The ideal Senior Pastor will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry or a related field, 10+ years of experience, and be gifted in the areas of Leadership, Preaching, Pastoral Care, Counseling, and Teaching.  Strong organizational, communication, and technological skills are also desired.

Employment status and total compensation is negotiable and will be discussed during the interview process.
